Native Vlan in trunk port and vPC link

Hi Expert,

I have a question about Native Vlan.

We have two N9K form vPC. Let say N9K-A & N9K-B

N9K A connect to a server-A with trubk port with native vlan 100.

N9K B connect to a server-B with trubk port with native vlan 100.

On this situtation, do I need to chnage the Native Vlan in vPC link to make both server A & B have good communcation?

Thanks

Hi,

do I need to chnage the Native Vlan in vPC link to make both server A & B have good communcation?

That is correct. You configure native vlan 100 on both sides of the vPV peer-link

switchport trunk native vlan 100

switchport mode trunk

if this is vPC peer link you do not need to configure any native vlan config, just suggested plain config as trunk.

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Hello

Yes, Native vlan is a per link feature not a per switch, so make the change on the vPC portchannel which will propergate to the physical interfaces on that vPC PC.

N9K A/B
int x/x
description VPC PC
VPC 10
switchport trunk native vlan xxx
