Hello,
Current our environment is the following:
Core1 ---- Core2

Nexus5k

N2k, N2k, N2k (FEX)

Servers, hosts, etc..
We would like to add another Nexus5k to this topology. However, it has to be a zero downtime infrastructure add-on. When setting up the keep-alive, peer-link, vPC and vdc domain, will there be any upset in network traffic on the current N5k?
Also, are the Nexus5k configurations sychronized or are they independent from one another? Before setting up the new 5k, should i configure it to teh 6509's, and vPC's to the Nexus2k's before setting up peer-link?
Thank you,
Cam

Hi,
In order for the VPC to work correctly you need to bring up the keep-alive connection first (using mgmt0). You than need to add the VPC peer link by creating an Etherchannel between the 2 5ks and configure a VPC domain. I would not do this without on outage window, as there is a chance for down time.
The 5Ks are independent devices, but if you want the config to be sync from one device to another, you can configure config sync command and that will do sync the config from one switch to the other.

Reza,
If we use mgmt interface directly b/w two switches (no intermediate switch invloved) then can we use SVI for management?
there is no L3 card installed.
