Hello,
today I was trying to upload file to my C3850 switch. Unfortunatley, I received the following error:
I get the same error message for all other IOS files.
Any ideas?

- Check local logs on switch after those attempts and also the logs from the remote sftp service ,

The original post shows some messages indicating problems in transferring an OS file. There are a few questions which might shed some light on the issue:
- are you sure that the destination address for the request is correct?
- does the destination device run sftp?
- have you attempted transfer protocols other than sftp?
- are you sure that the remote server has the correct file? And if so is that file in the correct directory?
- is it possible that between your switch and the server there is some type of security device (firewall etc) that might affect the attempt to transfer the file?
I agree with @marce1000 that checking for log messages would be a good place to start investigating the problem.

The syntax is incorrect.
Look at the screenshot and the system interaction. A Source Username of "sftp"? Look at the Source Filename.
