ospf database

Hi guys. I didn't work with ospf (only eigrp) at all so I apologies for this question in advance :) .  Here is output :

I have 2 routers advertising 10.132.5.0 and 10.132.6.0 subnets 2.2.2.4 and 10.200.1.3 . sho ip route 10.132.5.2
Routing entry for 10.132.5.0/24
Known via "ospf 1", distance 110, metric 4, type inter area
Routing Descriptor Blocks:
* 10.132.8.7, from 10.200.1.3, 16:50:39 ago, via Vlan3
Route metric is 4, traffic share count is 1

Does this mean 2.2.2.4 might be used as a backup route in case of 10.200.1.3 will fail? Is it correct to look at ospf database to see possible backup path ?

Hi,

That is correct. Both routers are advertising both routes with one as primary and one backup. If you had equal cost to both subsets  you would see both next hops in the routing table. Right now it only shows one next hop (10.132.8.7)
