Physically memory shows 1.9GB but memory shows less

Hi Experts , 

Show version shows physical memory as 1.9Gb but show memory statistics shows less memory ..Can you please advice on this. .

 

cisco C9200L-24PXG-4X (ARM64) processor with 523541K/3071K bytes of memory.

2 Virtual Ethernet interfaces
16 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
12 Ten Gigabit Ethernet interfaces

Total memory from above command shows 535Mb of Memory . 

We have an alert in Solarwinds saying high memory utilized ,

I would like to know the difference between Physical memory and the memory value on the switch ?

which memory output are we suppose to monitor ?

Hello Network_Sarovani, 

 

It's highly recommended when your device is running IOS XE version 17.1.X and above, that it operates in INSTALL mode. The Bundle mode consumes more memory than the Install mode because the packages are extracted from the bundle and copied to RAM.

You should try to move to INSTALL mode. In addition, the 17.3.3 is not the current Cisco recommended release for C9200L,  you should also consider an upgrade. Please see useful information inline:
