Port led blinking amber switch C9300X-12Y

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what does a led blinking amber mean on switch C9300X-12Y.

To that port we have connected a dark trace appliance, in status monitoring. Traffic is only in Out, no traffic in In because in the monitor session this is the destination port. Lots of OutDiscards error. We have changed glc and cable so that this is not something physical.

Hello @noemifabbri ,

>> TwentyFiveGigE1/0/1 is up, line protocol is down (monitoring)
Hardware is Twenty Five Gigabit Ethernet, address is
Description: SPAN PORT DESTINATION

the port is configured as a SPAN destination and this might explain why the LED is amber

Hope to help

Giuseppe

I agree with @Giuseppe Larosa.  The port is in "Monitoring".
