Question about MST and PVST

Level 1

Hello,

This question builds off of the following post:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/inconsitent-inferior-pvst-bpdu-received-on-vlan-10/td-p/4852991

Would moving the MST switch (sw-50) to PVST to match (SW-03) resolve the issues in the linked post?

17 Replies 17

Still this issue not solved?

Can I see show spanning tree interface x/x

Gi1/0/1 Root BKN*20000 128.1 P2p Bound(PVST) *PVST_Inc <<- I make review the show spanning tree you recently attach it different than your previous post ??

I think I am not understanding what you are asking for me to provide for you?

What would you like me to provide for you from sw-3 and switch 50?

You have two SW and each o e run different stp modes

One run pvst other run mst

You change AP and since them the mst SW side show PVST_Inc?

I am correct?

As I mention I run lab and get same issue ans solve it.

Confirm the following

SW mst run one instance including all vlan

SW mst is root for all vlan (work fine and not work fine)

Lastly

Share the priority of PVST for all vlan

Should I just disable spanning tree on the interfaces the APs are connected to? I'm trying to wrap my head around this and I am failing to do so.
