Remove vlan from trunk interface for firewall connection

Setting up a new C1000 switch so I wanted to know if I need to remove the vlan and just have it as a trunk port.

if no VLAN is allowed in the list means all the VLANs are allowed.
depends on the requirement, if you want to control only a particular vlan pass via trunk then use trunk allowed xxx
if not a big network and only 1 to 1 connection you can leave as trunk whatever suitable for you.
