If you want to preserve the configuration, use the "write mem" command and then once complete, unplug it.

To OP, BTW, you only need to save the running config if it has been changed from the currently saved startup config and also only if you want the current running config to be the new startup config.
Many later Cisco devices allow you to compare the startup config to the running config and determine if they are different.
Also, on many Cisco devices, if you issue the reload command, it should prompt to you save the running config if it has been changed since startup.
Some devices may want you to issue some form of shutdown command before you power them off. That won't be needed on a 3560.

Dear
If i save and take backup the configuration file then directly unplug the power cable then there is no problem with the switch.
Or
any another method to switch off this switch

The switch stores the configuration in NVRAM. If the switch is unplugged or experiences an unplanned loss of power, once power is restored it should boot up with the last saved configuration.
In addition, it is always a good network practice to have a configuration file saved elsewhere in the off chance the configuration gets lost. For what you are doing it would be a rare occurrence, but always better to be prepared.
