Hi, all!
I got a second-handed WIC-1ENET card for my Cisco 1700. But the card doesn't run. No LED on the card lights when the system boot up. And any ethernet interface has not shown when I enter "show run" command. Why?
How much physical memory does Cisco 1700 with 1 WIC-1ENET need?
Thanks.

What version of IOS are you running on your 1700?
Check the compatibility matrix on the main Cisco site to see if your version supports the Ethernet WIC.
How sure are you that the WIC is good? Can its operation be verified in another router?
I believe that some of the older 1700s cannot support an additional Ethernet (only the WAN + one ethernet/fast ethernet).
Good Luck

Hi
Whats the exact router model you are having over ther? I have run WIC-1ENET on a Cisco 1751 router withtout any probs.
You can also check out the ios compatibility to the Card in your router.
Do refer the below link for finding out the required ios.

Thanks for your advice, brother.
My routers and switches are all second-handed so that I cannot access your recommended site.
So I used the Solution Finder for Modular Routers.
I upgraded the IOS.
