I have assigned a switch a User name and set a password. Line vty is enabled using ssh. I am trying to check my ssh for the switch but it says connection has timed out. What do i do to fix this problem

Things to check for your switch.

1.is the switch pingable 

2.did you create crypto keys for ssh? ie: switch(config)#crypto key generate rsa label ssh modulus 2048

3. on your line vty 0-4 or 0-15 did you do transport input ssh and transport output ssh

it would help if you gave us a "show run | b line" as well
