SFP-10G-ER No Response Whatsoever

Hi Everyone,

It's my first time to use this SFP and at the moment, I am having no luck.  For more information, below are the hardware and scenario.

Site 1:

Switch: C9300-48T

Module: C3850-NM-4-10G

SFP: SFP-10G-ER

Cable: SFP-10G-AOC3M

Site 2:

Switch: C9500-16X-A

Module: C3850-NM-4-10G

SFP: SFP-10G-ER

Cable: SFP-10G-AOC3M

Site-to-Site Distance is only 20Km

Configs:

Switch1 - C9300-48T

!
interface TenGigabitEthernet1/1/1
no switchport
no ip address
end

Switch2 - C9500-16X-A

!

interface TenGigabitEthernet1/0/5
no switchport
no ip address
end

Metro-Link already tested by PROVIDER end-to-end and confirmed working.  I can confirm no issues with them, as I was there during the testing.  I reckon the issue is on our end, possibly configuration or (I really hope not or I'm dead) incorrect hardware.  In previous experiences with Modules and SFPs (1Gig) , they are straight-forward and no special config.. as long as you setup the interface, connect the fibre cables, LED lights come-up and interface status goes up up.. however today, no luck.. even no lights and no logs showing on both switches when I plug-unplug the fibre cable.

Also attached are some pics for more information.

If you confirmed all the patch correct and no physical issue 100%

try below comand : (bot the side)

interface TenGigabitEthernet1/1/1

speed nonegotiate

thanks for the quick response..
however I just tried.. still no go.. :(

SWITCH1#sh int te1/1/1
TenGigabitEthernet1/1/1 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect)
<SNIP>
!
interface TenGigabitEthernet1/1/1
no switchport
no ip address
speed nonegotiate
end

SWITCH2#sh int te1/0/5
TenGigabitEthernet1/0/5 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect)
<SNIP>
!
interface TenGigabitEthernet1/0/5
no switchport
no ip address
speed nonegotiate
end

Ok now we need to get in to more details here.

Can you explain how the setup here ?

Switch --- Fibre----(Provider NTU ?) ----Provider----Provider(NTU)---Switch ? ( is this correct ?)

- what is the distance between switch and provider NTU ( give other side same )

- are you using single mode cable ?

- have you twisted tail end polarity. ( make sure Fibre light travel other side).

Can you post

show interface XX trans details.

Other test you can do is - connect any other device locally see if the port come up or not ?

thanks again! really appreciate it!

Switch --- Fibre----(Provider NTU ?) ----Provider----Provider(NTU)---Switch ? ( is this correct ?) <<<<< CORRECT
- what is the distance between switch and provider NTU ( give other side same ) <<<<< under 3M both sides
- are you using single mode cable ? <<<<< SFP-10G-AOC3M (based on our research this is single-mode
- have you twisted tail end polarity. ( make sure Fibre light travel other side). <<<<< sorry not sure what you mean by twisting? do you mean opposite like below:
1 to 2
2 to 1
instead of
1 to 1
2 to 2
