Hi all,
I'm new here, our customer recently decided to replace a few switches and decided to use Cisco IE2000 16TC.
In the previous installation he had a few GMFIBER-SFP-2K (SIXNET)adapters. Can this same adapter being used on the switches or its necessary to have Cisco SFP adapters?
Many thanks,

Cisco switch sometime not going to recognize some brands, so to save time and smooth transition i suggest to order cisco SFP, that save people time.

Hello @eduardodeoliveira
Cisco networking equipment often works optimally with Cisco-branded modules. While third-party SFP modules may physically fit into Cisco switches, it's crucial to note that using non-Cisco SFPs can have implications.
Non-Cisco SFP modules might not be recognized or supported by Cisco devices.
Some Cisco switches have compatibility checks in place, and using non-Cisco modules may result in error messages or the module not being recognized.
Cisco typically recommends using genuine Cisco modules to ensure proper functioning and adherence to warranty terms.
Using non-Cisco modules may void warranties or limit the support options provided by Cisco.
Also, Cisco-branded modules undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet Cisco's standards for performance and reliability.
Third-party modules may not have undergone the same level of testing, potentially leading to compatibility or performance issues.

Hi Friend,
Thanks for taking time to help me.
The previous switches were Sixnet too (SLX-18MG-1).
