Hi all
I do a complete overhaul of my network and storage solution. I want to connect my two new NAS via 10G SFP to my future switch. I though about using a CBS250-48P-4X for that as it has four SFP connections. My question is as follows: The SFP connections are labeled as "Uplink" and in all descriptions they are described as uplink to other switches. Can they be used to connect to a NAS or are they only for connecting to other switches?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Daniel

Sure you can use any purpose those Ports(not specific to uplink) - as long as you have right SFP Optics supported.

@DanielPq no problem. even its marked as uplinks, you can use it for any connectivity requirement of 10G. make sure you have correct 10G SFP connected to switch.

For your intended usage, using an "uplink" port might/could be your best choice.
Why?
Sometimes there's more/better hardware supporting (and/or features/functions for) such ports (because such ports often have/expect heavier usage).
