I'm totally new to networking. I've just replaced a D-Link switch with a Cisco SG112-24 unmanaged switch, and I can't find detailed instructions for it. Specs say ports are 22 x 10/100/1000 + 2 x combo SFP. This switch is just used for basic networking ( PC's, some printers and a router). Should the router be plugged into the combo SFP port, or does it matter which of the 22 ports the router in plugged into? Any info is greatly appreciated!

Does the SFP port require an adapter to use an RJ45? The only contacts are deep inside the port on my switch. My switch does not have 2 sets of ports at the right end as shown in the Unmanaged Switches Guide you sent, just the 2 SFP ports.
