When I do a "show cdp neigbors" on a router it only shows routers not switches that are directly connected.
Should "show cdp neigbors" on a router or a switch show routers and switchs?

It should show any appliance which supports CDP: Routers, switches, APs, VoIP phones, etc.
Maybe CDP is turned off either globally or at the interface.

Hi,
Aside from checking whether CDP is enabled or not, this only works for Cisco devices but some vendors adapted this into their devices.
