Show Input or Output rate of Sub-interfaces

Hi Team,

Is there some way to know the input/output rate of sub-interfaces?
When I use "show interface fa0/0.1" , there is nothing related to traffic information.

As far as im aware there is no separate counters stored for sub-interfaces as below locally on the device but we use applications such as LiveAction that can record data from sub-interfaces through netflow or UIM or Netqos but they all cost money

You could also snmp it to receive it , haven't tried this but there is a separate mib for each sub I would think that's how the some apps pull it when not using netflow

show snmp mib ifmib ifindex

GigabitEthernet0/0/0.1192: Ifindex = 1114

Yes definitely feels like a limitation that could easily be fixed , the traffic is being sent from the router to an app using netflow you would think the router/switch itself could also see the data and provide it , there may be a legitimate reason behind it too TAC may be able to answer that

    Thank you for answering the question. SNMP/Netflow are surely good ways to monitor the traffic . And configuring QoS is also a good way .

    It is really a pity sub-interfaces' rate cannot be directly shown by "show interface".
