Show Vlan command does not show all Vlans

I am configuring six 3850's 48p F-S. They will eventually be a stack but for now I have updated the IOS to Denali 16.3.9 which was tough because some of the switches I received would only boot to rommon (switch:) and only a few would boot to the IOS allowing me to upgrade.

I'm working on switch 1 and a having a problem with seeing the Vlans I created. Show vlan only shows default vlan1 and the other vlans that come with the IOS example fddi token ring etc. but not the one I created.

When I did a show vtp status I got this

switch# show vtp status
VTP Version capable : 1 to 3
VTP Version running : 1
VTP Domain Name :
VTP Pruning Mode : Disabled
VTP Traps Generation : Disabled

When I do a run config, I can see the vlan I created (I have not assigned the vlan to any ports yet).  I don't know what I'm missing.

Why can I not see my newly created vlan?

Hi,

This is going to be my first switch or switch 1 in the stack. Can I keep it in transparent mode or should I switch to server? I

I would keep them all in transparent mode of off. VTP  can be a headache at times and Cisco is slowly going away from it.

Good Luck!
