SNMP Partially Working

We have a couple of 6503 switches configured for SNMP. Two of them are being discovered by NetHealth while the other two aren't. The SNMP strings are the same and the remote IP is allowed in through ACL. There are matches on this ACL for this particular IP.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Remove the ACLs to see if that makes a difference.

What does the log on the switch say? (after of course, removing the ACL for SNMP access)

Also, check the community strings again, for example for letter 'O' and number '0' transposed, letter 'l' and number '1', etc.

If there are hits on the SNMP ACL, then the SNMP is getting to the switch. So the problem must be either the community string, or the return path to the HetHealth.

I presume NetHealth can ping the switches, and that there is no filtering ACL on the VLAN interfaces.

How does NetHealth discover switches - does it use some form of broadcast and/or multicast? Are those broadcasts / multicasts allowed on your LAN?
