Good day pros.

My manager just noticed and asked me why there is a solid RED light under interface/Port (Where we plug in the cable) at front panel.  I have no knowledge at all about Nexus 9300 switch.

I need your expert knowledge about this issue.

What is the cause?

Please check the picture.

And how can I remove/resolve it

Thanks in advance.

Check logs with "show logging log" or status of environment with "show environment all detail". You will see if anything wrong.

If LEDs on FAN modules are green, then something wrong with temperature around the switch (too cold or too hot).

When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

Thanks for your quick response.

What Error do I have to check in the log file??  As I said I have no previous experience about Nexus 9300 switch.

Thanks

 - @Zee-Far-Man   What error 'has not yet been determined '; just check the logs for errors ,

Hello Pavel Tarakanov

Thanks for your response.

I think it is STS

But I am still confused. Weather is it because of Temperature exceeds OR the fan module is not operational. All fans light is green at the back of the switch.

Should I RMA the Fan module? Please advise.

Thanks.

@Zee-Far-Man      - Have a look at the outputs from :  show environment fan
                                                                                                  show environment temperature

Check this Guide - looks like temperature error (i guess)

show environment temperature
show environment power
show environment fan
