SPAN by destanation port-channel

Hi I have 3064 Source interface port-channel 6

Now I set destanation port-channel 8

IF set on the port for example channel-group 8 force mode active

Donnot have command switchport monitor

On the port-channel interface also donnot have command switchport-monitor

now if set dest port on interface port-channel 8 monitor sesssion donnot up say to me dst port in wrong mode

Why do you want destination as Port-channel ? what is the use case. And it is  not supported.

Characteristics of Destination Ports

Each local SPAN session must have a destination port (also called a monitoring port) that receives a copy of traffic from the source ports or VLANs. A destination port has these characteristics:

• Can be any physical port. Source Ethernet and FCoE ports cannot be destination ports.

• Cannot be a source port.

• Cannot be a port channel.

• Does not participate in spanning tree while the SPAN session is active.

• Is excluded from the source list and is not monitored if it belongs to a source VLAN of any SPAN session.

• Receives copies of sent and received traffic for all monitored source ports.

Sure Can you tess on nexus 3064 source port port-channel 1

destanation port port-channel2

If you config port-channel For LACP or other mode

For example ethernet 1/1

channel-group 1 force mode active

and ethernet 1/2

channel-group 1 force mode active

You want copy taffic port-channle 1 to port-channel 2

have not command swtich port monitor on port-channel config
