I have a stack of 8 switches in which 1st switch is master with priority 15.

8th switch is secondary with 14 priority.

but when Switch 1 fails then by default secondary should become master

but in my case it doesnt happens, the whole stack gets down.

So pls help why switchover redundancy is not happening

How did you fail-over to secondary?

I mean, what method did you use to fail-over?

Its on priority based.

What method means?

What method means?

How did you made switch 1 fail?

Just wondering, does your original master have an IPService feature set license?  If so, does the intended secondary have it too?
