after replacing the cable too we had the same problem, so real question is do stack ports affect other stack ports i.e i have no idea which port between went bad and we need to test it, the swts are connected in this way. If the stack ports affect each other then we need to replace only one swt if not we need to replace two switches.
So real questions does stack ports affect each other or not.

I think it's safe to say that stackports can affect each other. Ive seen cases where this has happened. . Your testing solution should clarify which stacked port is bad on either SWT2 or SWT3.

Thank you Gabriel for the reply. I understand that but we are in a situation where we are sure that we need to replace the switch it might be one if the stack ports affect each other, replace 2 switches if the ports does not affect each other. The point is it takes time to test since this causes outage and the contact is in UK so scheduling takes time. So if i get the absolute answer for my question then there is no need for testing. I hope you got the point
Thank you once again for replying.

What ios version are you running? There is a stack bug in version 12.2(53)SE2 that causes the stack ports to flap. The bug is fixed in 12.2(55)SE4 and higher
