Hello Senior's,
There are 5 Switches in stack running IOS Version 16.xx . In which 3rd switches gone faulty and I have received a RMA switch against that faulty switch which is having Upgraded Version of IOS and I want to add that switch in that Stack.... So please confirm that we need to degrade the IOS version of new switch or upgrade full stack IOS Version.

If you have downtime and change window as accepted, Upgrading to Latest IOS whole stack is good option.(depends on requirement), if no downtime, that taking long time downgrad the device to currect IOS joining is best option you have only.
Or if you looking to go with exiting stable and working one below steps will cover to replace :
