Stacking 6 switches without forming a loop

Hello, I'm stacking 6 switches this weekend but switch 1 and 6 are far apart so that I can't close the loop with the 50 cm stacking cable. Would the stack still come up as normal until we order a long enough stacking cable?

Hello,

it will work but only with half the bandwidth. A missing cable is the same as a failed redundancy cable.

Sometimes you don't need the long cable if you cable as shown in https://docstore.mik.ua/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat3750/12225se/3750hig/3750hig.pdf figure 2-5.
