C9500 supports now Stackwise-Virtual as per the below document, depends on license you have, i believe you need network advantage to achieve this. what kind of License you have ?

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst9500/software/release/16-8/release_notes/ol-16-8-9500.html

Also consider looking Limitations and restrictions before deploying in live environment.

Hello Balaji,

my box is for Network Essential

Switch#sh license right-to-use
Slot# License Name Type Count Period left
------------------------------------------------------------
1 network-essentials Permanent N/A Lifetime
1 dna-essentials Subscription N/A CSSM Managed
------------------------------------------------------------
License Level on Reboot: network-essentials+dna-essentials Subscription

Yes firmware release notes says its supports but partially not

Sharath

As per documentation you need network advantage.

I did some more testing and could observe that 16.6.1 code is supporting stackwise-virtual (stacking).

my question would be now:

why it is not supporting in latest release ? any know bugs ?

Looks like you are mixing too many questions in one thread, so we are confused to answer.
