Hi all,

I have a 9372 with the following issue.

One of the inteface from my port-channel is in (suspended(no LACP PDUs))

Eth1/3         connected trunk     full    10G     10Gbase-SR
Eth1/4        suspended trunk     full    auto    10Gbase-SR

!

interface port-channel20
    switchport mode trunk
  spanning-tree port type normal
  vpc 20

!

I erase all the config for this port channel and still the same.

show lacp interface ethernet 1/4
Interface Ethernet1/4 is suspended
Channel group is 20 port channel is Po20

What is connected to e1/4?

Is the other end configured for LACP?

Yes.

So  e1/5 is connected to e1/4 of the 9k. Can you print the output of the interface connected to e1/3.

Also share the output of show lacp internal event-h interface e1/4.

If you swap the physical connection between e1/3 and e1/4 does the issue follow the port?

I have same problem.

I solved it by replacing both the Gbic and the opposing Gbic inserted in the Nexus 9000.

I think it's a matter of Gbic characteristics.

Faced the same issue while configuring a vPC between Cisco Nexus and Dell switches. There is no L1 issue found during basic testing.

Defaulting the config on physical interfaces and recreation of Port-channel interface helped to bring the port to (P) from suspended state.

Strange part is that every physical flaps on the port results in port suspension and the solution is to redo the config post defaulting the interfaces. Raised a TAC case for further investigation on the matter.

Hi' Izhar,

What was the outcome from TAC? Did you get a bug-id or was the problem resolved?

Best Regards

Hi All,

I had a similar problem as well ...

But here is what I noticed ...

show lacp interface Eth2/14
Interface Ethernet2/14 is suspended
Channel group is 35 port channel is Po35
PDUs sent: 16729
PDUs rcvd: 0   <-----

So , because the PDUs rcvd is 0 ... seems the server side had some LACP problems.

Once they fixed on their end , things became OK on the switchport side.

Hope this is helpful.

I had the same issue. With windows 2019 server.   Got LACP NIC-teamed port working and both ports on switches showed up / up.  Tested failover to one NIC by unplugging cable that was part of the team and the one NIC did handel the traffic.  However, when I plugged the the cable back in, it wasn't receiving any LACP PDUs.   The switch shows that it's suspended.  I bounced the port on the switch but same thing.   Only thing that seems to work was disabling / enabling the port on the server that was part of the NIC team that shows disconnected.   Maybe something in Windows changed as it seems to work fine in previous versions of Windows.
