Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this:
If an SVI is configured as the gateway for a VLAN and in that same subnet is a config for a default-gateway address on that switch, can this cause confusion for the layer 3 switch in any way? Or, would the SVI override any dafault-gateway config?
L3Sswitch#sh ip int br
Vlan301 10.1.1.1 YES manual up up
!

!
Also,
L3Switchsh run | i defaul
ip default-gateway 10.1.1.2
Thanks, Pat.

Hi,
the IP default-gateway will only be used when switch L2 only so when ip routing is disabled otherwise it will use the default route.
Regards.
