Switch - Dell4112F Vs Cisco 3850

Hi,

One of our branches in china has decided to purchase Dell 4412F 10 GB switch which has the below features and they are also interested to buy a cisco switch but Dell is providing cheaper rates with buying all the servers they are inclining to buy Dell switch. I would like to compare these two devices and let them know that cisco does but job compare to the Dell 4112F switch.

Currently, they are planning to buy the below switch:

Dell EMC Switch S4112F, 12 x
10GbE SFP+, 3 x 100GbE QSFP28,
IO FAN, 2 x AC PSU, OS10s/4 Yr ProSupport

I need to cover the below specifications in cisco switch which they have mentioned so if Cisco switches 3850 covers the below items then they are okay to purchase cisco.

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.7/com.vmware.vsphere.vsan-planning.doc/GUID-031F9637-EE29-4684-8644-7A93B9FD8D7B.html#GUID-031F9637-EE29-4684-8644-7A93B9FD8D7B

Please let me know if we can go ahead buy 3850 Switch for VSAN purpose or not?

Regards

3850 do not support 100 Gbps -- so that alone rules out 3850.

Can you suggest other cisco switches?

Cisco Nexus (5k, 7k or 9k) are your only choice for VSAN work.

Personally if you going alone with Dell, do wth DELL switch is good option, so you have less issue interoperatability.
