Telnet out of Cisco catalyst with ip routing enabled

I cant seem to telnet to other devices from a cisco catalyst switch whenever ip routing is enabled on the switch

Since enabling that throws the switch into L3 mode and the ip default-gateway becomes obsolete what can i do?

Hi,

replace the ip defaut-gateway x.x.x.x by ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x
