Hi All,
I have a client with Line of sight laser link between 2 buildings. The laser devices connects to 4500 switch at each location. Will it be OK to enable UDLD on the switch ports. The switch ports are set for L3 (no switch port) with ip address and BGP across the link.
Please suggest.
Thank you

I can't see why this wouldn't work. If you can transmit ethernet packets across the link, you can use UDLD. UDLD is just a layer-2 protocol implemented with multicast packets. If you can get multicast packets across the laser it should work fine.

Thank you. I was having the doubt as any cisco page talks about only Fiber/ethernet. Not on wireless links.
Thanks
