Unable to log into the WebGUI on Cisco 3650

Hello,

  I have multiple Cisco 3650's that I have no problems with, but I have one that will allow me to get to the gui but will not take the login and password. It gives me a "Wrong Credentials" error.

  I have searched the discussions on here and have tried them all with no luck. I have even gone so far as to factory reset the switch using the Cisco info and this Password Recovery Steps for Cisco Catalyst Switches – Sunset Learning Institute but it will not take me back to the System Dialog Configuration to start from scratch.

If you are having issues accessing the switch using the GUI, do you have access to the switch CLI (console connection, telnet, etc)?

Hello,

Try:

--> ip http authentication local

and login with local credentials...

Yes i was, i have put those commands in also and have set a new local username and password but still no luck

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Am I correct in understanding that you are successful logging in for CLI but get authentication failed when trying to use the GUI? That would suggest that your user ID and password are correctly configured but that there is some issue in the way that the GUI is authenticating. In a way I would like to see the complete current running config. But perhaps we can figure some things out if you post the output of these commands:

show run | inc auth

show run | inc http
