Hello
I will be replacing our current single chassis (WS-C6509) with the (WS-C6509-E) chassis. What I want to do is just take our line cards from our current chassis below and place them in our new chassis. Considering we are moving the Supervisors also, do I need to make sure of anything as far as configuration? The swap just seems to straight forward but maybe I'm looking too into this. I've backed up the IOS, configs that include the ACLS since we use it as our firewall. After I moved over the line cards and powered up I was only going to connect our Supervisors which connect to our ISP to verify route connectivity then for the most part everything else are trunks going to our switches.
I'm curious if their are any gotchas or things I should be prepared for whether it be hardware or configs. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
As far as I can see all the linecards including the superviors are fully compatible with the WS-C6509-E chassis, same as with the WS-6509 the sup engines can only occupy the slots 5-6 in the chassis and the line cards any other slot. As per the IOS if you will be using the same you had before you should not not face any issues.
Hope this helps.
