Hi!

What are you trying to change? If you are changing from 192.168.1.0/24 to 10.10.2.0/24 you have to change also the pc you using to the new subnet 10.10.2.x/24 efter that you Will get some respons from THE switch.

Thank you for your answer.I have not changed switch default ip (192.168.1.254).MY pc is 192.168.1.207.I need to configure vlan 10(10.10.2.0-untagged port 3&4) and vlan 20(192.168.5.2 -untagged port 5&6). I am able to assign port for vlan 10 and 20.But when I am trying to configure IP for both vlan 10 and 20,it is not working. Can you please tell me what to change.

Thank you again for your help.

Hi,

By Default, SG300 switches are coming with L2 (Layer Mode) so you can configure only one IP per switch (one IP on any SVI). So it will overwrite the default IT address and not respond to you.

The best solution to convert in Layer 3 mode so you can configure multiple IPs on the switch (Different Subnet on Different SVI/Loopback).
