This is  my topology, pc1 is 10.0.0.10(Vlan 10) and pc2 is 10.0.0.20(Vlan 20)
For some reason vlan 10 is not able to communicate to vlan 20, I took packet capture and I see ARP from pc1 is forwarded to switch 1 and switch 1 is forwarding it to switch 2, but switch 2 is sending arp request to pc2.

switch 1 config:

interface Vlan1

interface Ethernet1/1
switchport access vlan 10

interface Ethernet1/2
switchport mode trunk

switch 2 config:

vlan 1,10,20

vrf context management

interface Vlan1

interface Ethernet1/1
switchport access vlan 20

interface Ethernet1/2
switchport mode trunk

Please help!!!

make native for trunk in SW1 vlan 10 and the native of trunk in SW2 vlan 20

then check again

what is the reason of testing both the device in same subnet and different broadcast Layer 2 domain ?

Do you have any Layer3 interface on that switch, its just layer2 you looking to have connectivity between PC 1 and PC2 ?

why not bring them in same Layer 2 broadcast domain either VLAN 10 or VLAN 20 ? (not make any sense to have different VLAN if they are both in same subnet ?)

the configuration you provided ( SW1 i do not see the vlan 10, 20) - but we do see the config on SW2 ?

Hello @RobotAjay

Do it easy.

Same network ? Same subnet ? So same vlan. Configure the two PC on the same Broadcaqt domain, same VLAN id.

Different subnet, different broadcast domain so different VLAN. But you will need L3 equipement in order to have PC1 pinging PC2.

Best regards
