I have a network where users are seing slow responce issues. I have stacks of 3750's connected to the 4500's using etherchannel. the logs show an issue with 3 of the vss ports.the logs belwo keep repeating
could this cause a slow responce issue.

version:

Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500e-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 03.04.04.SG

vss interfaces:

Te1/1/32 ** VSL Link 1 ** connected trunk full 10G 10GBase-LRM

Te1/2/8 ** VSL Link 2 ** connected trunk full 10G 10GBase-LRM

Te2/1/32 ** VSL Link 1 ** connected trunk full 10G 10GBase-LRM

Te2/2/8 ** VSL Link 2 ** connected trunk full 10G 10GBase-LRM

The log error you are seeing is a cosmetic error that appears in many Cisco devices.  This can't be related the slowness issue you are experiencing.

Kindly post the complete output to the following commands:
1. sh interface Te 1/1/32;
2. sh interface Te 2/1/32; and
3. sh interface Te 1/2/8

Hi Leo

thanks for taking a look at this problem.

I don't see anything wrong with the output. The fibre optic links seems to be OK.
