Hi everybody,
I am seeing this VTT enviroment values (extracted with the command show environment alarm threshold) in 3 7600 differents boxes.
VTT 1 OK: OK
threshold #1 for VTT 1 OK:
(sensor value != 0 ) is system minor alarm
VTT 1 outlet temperature: 36C
threshold #1 for VTT 1 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 100C) is system minor alarm
threshold #2 for VTT 1 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 115C) is system major alarm
VTT 2 OK: OK
threshold #1 for VTT 2 OK:
(sensor value != 0 ) is system minor alarm
VTT 2 outlet temperature: 35C
threshold #1 for VTT 2 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 100C) is system minor alarm
threshold #2 for VTT 2 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 115C) is system major alarm
VTT 3 OK: OK
threshold #1 for VTT 3 OK:
(sensor value != 0 ) is system minor alarm
VTT 3 outlet temperature: 33C
threshold #1 for VTT 3 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 100C) is system minor alarm
threshold #2 for VTT 3 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 115C) is system major alarm
I want to confirm if this values are correct, because looks elevated (100C and 115C), or what values are recommended ...if it possible change it.
Rregards.

Hi,
This is default value which is set already and there is no need change it.

Hi,
This sensor vlaue is correct and this is maximum allowed temperatures for the sensors which is defined as minor and major alarm
There are two alarm types: major and minor.
The system sensors set off alarms based on different temperature threshold settings. You can determine the allowed temperatures for the sensors by using the #show environment alarm threshold command
I verified on LAB and found below detail,
switch 1 VTT 1 OK: OK
threshold #1 for switch 1 VTT 1 OK:
(sensor value != FALSE ) is system minor alarm
switch 1 VTT 1 outlet temperature: 32C
threshold #1 for switch 1 VTT 1 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 100C) is system minor alarm
threshold #2 for switch 1 VTT 1 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 115C) is system major alarm
switch 1 VTT 2 OK: OK
threshold #1 for switch 1 VTT 2 OK:
(sensor value != FALSE ) is system minor alarm
switch 1 VTT 2 outlet temperature: 30C
threshold #1 for switch 1 VTT 2 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 100C) is system minor alarm
threshold #2 for switch 1 VTT 2 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 115C) is system major alarm
switch 1 VTT 3 OK: OK
threshold #1 for switch 1 VTT 3 OK:
(sensor value != FALSE ) is system minor alarm
switch 1 VTT 3 outlet temperature: 33C
threshold #1 for switch 1 VTT 3 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 100C) is system minor alarm
threshold #2 for switch 1 VTT 3 outlet temperature:
(sensor value >= 115C) is system major alarm
When the voltage termination (VTT) module reaches 100C, the System will throw the minor alarm, and when it reaches the 115C, it wil show major alarm

Aru

Hi Aru,
Thanks for your answer, I already had this information but I want to confirm if this values (100C and 115C) are
fixed and is not possible or necessary change it.
