Call cisco think this has a lifetime warranty and a 3560 is not that old of a model. You will need the serial number off the switch.

I have the same issue on a WS-C3550-24-PWR in my lab. Reports:
POST: CAM Subsystem Tests : Begin
Address bus test failed for associated data
POST: CAM Subsystem Tests : End, Status Failed
INIT: failed CAM ASIC initialization
And shortly after this:
!!! WARNING: The switch is not usable !!!
Reason:
Address bus test failed for associated data
Did you ever get Cisco to replace the switch or? This one is way out of warranty, but if a switch has a lifetime warranty of this failure then I'm glad
Could be nice to be able to do some labs at home.
Thanks.

3550 is not covered under the new Extended Lifetime Warranty.

Hi, I know it's been 8 years but may be it would be useful for others, just change the IOS from ROMMON Mode.

I got this message on a WS-C3560G-24T switch. The SYS LED was lighting orange. The system booted into it's Cisco Image but next day when I started it booted into ROMMON. The prompt "swtich:"
One odd thing was the flash didn't have anything on there anymore. And I cant find any donwload for this cisco image on Ciscos website anymore.

Hello sir!
No it wasn't possible to do it. It said it's already initizalied if I remember correct.
And I also could not do
switch:boot
it didn't find any cisco image.
But now I restarted the switch again and now it started to load into the Cisco image that already is installed on the device. It booted up.
!!! WARNING: The switch is not usable !!! Switch# Switch# Switch#dir Directory of flash:/ 2 -rwx 1048 Mar 1 1993 00:00:32 +00:00 multiple-fs 3 -rwx 12484113 Mar 1 1993 00:08:51 +00:00 c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin 8 -rwx 12745998 May 8 2018 10:28:26 +00:00 c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE12.bin
After this I did show version. Looked which one of these two images was running my on switch. (SE12). So I changed it to the SE2 version and currently restarted the switch.
