What does "Clos network" mean?

HI all,

I saw lof of documents mentioning a word "Clos network", I cannot understand this correctly as I'm not a native english speaker. Could anyone explain this a little bit more?

The idea of is migrated from the old telephony world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clos_network
which is used in DC building.
