Hi
One of my switches, an old 3550, in the organisation is showing up as "red" on my monitoring on IP 10.12.12.87. I can access the switch as when I do a show ip route I get the below result
Default gateway is 192.168.30.254
Host Gateway Last Use Total Uses Interface
10.12.12.87 192.168.30.253 0:00 4393112 Vlan400
The GW is correct but the other entry is odd, it's not coming from the config and 192.168.30.253 is a router that's down for replacement. The GW 192.168.30.254 is a VRRP IP where the 192.168.30.253 router is the backup router. This would explain why 10.12.12.87 cannot reach the switch but not why the entry is there at from the first place.

It seems I can answer this myself after some further thought. I was the IP redirect feature on the switch that was playing me tricks. After I disabled IP redirects on the VLAN interfaces and did a clear ip redirect everything was fine again.
