WS-X6708-10GE - Module 13 installation makes this system non-NEBS compliant

Hi all,

Just want confirmation with this, is this really hardware issue based on the log was given?
The SW cannot be detected by the chassis.

Does your system have a compliance meet - like to support the temperature and FAN modules?

Hi Balaji.bandi,

I have received log files that contain command #show tech-support. unfortunately, that chassis does not support

command #show env all. it's weird when i can't find that command. most of switch i handled can use that command.

I've read link that you gave. Do you mean it related to the supervisor WS-SUP720? this switch is using that WS-SUP720 actually.

Hi,

You are using different versions of the PFC3x and DFC3x boards namely PFC3BXL with SUP720 and DFC3C with WS-X6708-10GE module. While in theory this only means that the resultant mode is PFC3B, when a line card with DFC3C is inserted (OIR) into a switch with SUP720-3BXL, the line card sometimes does not power up. 

I.E.: If you have inserted your WS-X6708-10GE module into a running system you would need a reboot as this module must be installed at boot up. If your module was installed at boot up please disregard this post.

Yes provided you have OIR inserted the module when the system was already running the reboot with the the module inserted may solve the problem.
