3511-E MCU Hangs up Call

Hi All,

I have a 3511-E MCU with the MP using 4.2.10 and the EMP using 4.2.8_1.

The issue that I have is that whenever I create a conference by dialing in the call is terminated after about 5 seconds.

If I dial one of the service prefix's (eg.1889) and prepend a conference ID of say 1234 the call is correctly routed using a Route Pattern on CCM to the H.323 gateway (also in CCM) then onto the MCU. The MCU then answers the call and says

"Chair already taken, thankyou for attending the conference, you are the first partici..." then the call is cut off.

This was working fine and as far as I am aware there have been no configuration changes.

I have looked on the Bug Tool however I have not been able to locate anything as yet.

The following has been setup;

- CCM 4.1(3)sr2b

- RASAggregator Trunk

- H323 Gateway for MCU

- Service prefix Route Patterns pointing to the H323 Gateway

- Gatekeeper - 12.3(14)T6

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thks heaps,

Matt

Attachements...

I too am having this problem and can't seem to find a solution. This is the closest match to my problem I have found in my searches.

Can anyone help with this problem?

Hi, the issue that was effecting my MCU was that it had been previously intergrated with MeetingPlace. So while all the settings were correct on the MCU, the MeetingPlace Video Service (mpvideo) on the MP server still had the ability to login and control the MCU. Once I stopped the 'mpvideo' service on the MeetingPlace server the MCU was able to function correctly again.

Hope this helps...

Do you by any chance have any guides that you followed that shows you step by step on how to configure this? I have seen the admin guides and the SRND but I dont see anything that guides you through the MP video integration? Also I noticed you used the MCM gatekeeper method as opposed to the IPIPGW method which seems to be the new way Cisco is heading towards. Have you tried using IPIPGW?
