Calling between VCS registered endpoints and Lifesize VC Endpoint

Hello Guys,

We have Room 55 and DX80 registered on vcs. And there are few Lifesize VC endpoints which are working in standalone mode and few of them are SIP registered on lifesize server. All devices are in internal network.

How can we make a call between Room 55 registered on vcs and Lifesize VC endpoint.

Hello,

I understand that you want to enable calls to intra-net IP addresses between VCS registered endpoints and standalone endpoints. This link is helpful: http://www.ucguerrilla.com/2013/09/enabling-local-ip-address-dialing-on.html

To enable calls between VCS registered endpoint to Lifesize Server SIP registered endpoints, you need to create SIP trunk between VCS and Lifesize server. I don't have official document for VCS and Lifesize integration but i can share you a helpful document which i used to have as my foundation for integrating VCS to third-party call servers like Avaya and Polycom and works fine. Refer to 3.2. Administer Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS) on page 15 to 23.

For Lifesize guide, you may seek help for Lifesize support.

Acevirgil gave you information on how you might be able to resolve this in your current environment, but I have a question: Why do you have a network setup that has some endpoints registered to VCS, some to a Lifesize server, and some not at all? Simplify your network, register everything to VCS using SIP (or H.323 if you have older systems that don't support SIP), and you should be able to dial between any of them no problem.

Simplifying your network is a good idea.......
