I can successfully receive and place calls, however, when I input the IP address in the browser I get a "time-out" error. The GUI was working perfectly a few days ago. It's been non-responsive all week. I just find it strange that we can make and receive calls. Please adivse.

Hi Darrel,
I don't think you can do a factory reset with the remote. You can do it with physical access to the device though...
1) Turn off SX20
2) Hold power button for ~10 seconds (until it starts blinking)
3) Press the power button twice
4) SX20 should factory reset.

Are you just trying via http, or have you tried https as well? It could be that only one (or both) of the NetworkServices for the GUI access has been turned off.
If you can telnet or SSH to the device to access the CLI, check the output of an xconfig, you should see
*c xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTP Mode: On
*c xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTPS Mode: On
If they're Off, you can use the CLI to turn them back On again to restore your GUI access.

I've tried http and https. No luck
SSH using PuTTY timed-out.
Used remote at codec: http and https were "ON"
Please advise.

Here's silly question for you; have you re-booted the system?

Also, is the codec used via CUCM or without? If used with CUCM did you enable the remote access?
If its disabled andyour connecting to the right box I would not expect a timeout rather then a
connection refused which immediately would close the connection.
Are you sure that there the ip address did not change/ that you have the correct one or that there is no
firewall or proxy or something else in between blocking the connection?
Besides that it is possible to either use a special serial cable or a usb-serial cable to connect to the
codec to get serial access to the cli to check on the config.

Hi Darrell,
If you can't ssh, telnet, http, or web in to the device, it sounds like there's some sort of network issue there...
Have you cheked the IP settings on both the codec and the PC you are connecting from (different subnets/wrong subnet masks/etc)?
Can you ping the device from your PC?
Have you tried another browser?
Have you tried without a proxy server enabled in your browser (if it's a coporate image and they force a proxy, it could be causing an issue)?

Wayne et all,
A factory reset will work best. Any way to perform it with the remote?

Thanks everyone.
I reset the unit and we're back to proper functionality. Still not sure why we lost-it to begin-with, but a hard reset always helps.

Hi,
In regards to the above thread, I have encountered same issue. I can make calls successfully but cannot open SX20 through web interface. Tried both ways from my laptop and from TMS provisioning server.
when I tried from TMS, it has shortcuts to each endpoint and a local host entry so connects https without any SSL error. It works for every endpoint except SX20 which comes up certificate error and although appears to connect, returns a blank page.
Can any one shed some light why I am getting certificate error and returns a blank page? any resolutions please.
