CE 8.3.2 remote not fully operational

Hi, 

 

SX10 / SX20 remote is not fully operational on TRC 5 & TRC 6 is there any solution or patch fix for this issue? 

 

Only able to navigate within the screen using the screens, rest of the buttons on the remote is not operational.

The TRC 5 remote is not supported nor does it work in CE software.
All buttons on the TRC 6 remote should work fine in CE software. What is not working on TRC 6?

Yes, the Touch 8 only works in TC. The Touch 10 can work in TC or CE software.

Last question, how to check the touch panel model from the web interface or in TMS?

I am not sure TMS would tell you that.
In the web interface it would be under Settings then Peripherals.
Physically, the Touch 8 is black and the Touch 10 is white.

Under peripherals: 

Hardware version is listed as 102310-1, is this what i should be looking for (is that a touch 8 or touch 10) ?

Touch 8 = 101650
Touch 10 = 102310-1

Touch 8 runs TT software
Touch 10 runs TI software

In addition to the information Justin has provided.  You can also look at the TelePresence Touch Data Sheet, there is an image of a Touch 8 and Touch 10 for reference.  You can tell the difference just by visually looking at the panel. Touch 8 is black and Touch 10 is white, the number also represents the size of the panel in inches.

Our customer has about 20 SX20 with TRC5 remote control. They intend to update their SX20 from TC to CE software, however TRC5 is not supported on CE version.
Do you know if Cisco replace (RMA) the remote control TRC5 to TRC6 even if this replacement is only to keep customer's telepresence environment updated?

If you submit an RMA for a TRC5 remote, you won't get a TRC6 remote as a replacement, as RMAs are like-for-like replacements. You'll need to purchase new TRC6 remotes if you intend to upgrade from TC to CE software, part number for TRC6 remote is CST-RMT-TRC6=.
