Good day,
we have stripped out a job in London and the client is getting rid of a Cisco mx800 in perfect working order.
is there a setup guide I can use to double check everything is fine? As I’d like to sell the item

The MX800 has been end of support since March, I don't think you'll get much (if any) for it, it's too old. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

As the others have indicated, the MX800 is now an obsolete and end-of-support product, so it's unlikely that it will have any great resale value as people would be better off purchasing a current and supportable model device for any longer-term use. It may be of interest to someone as parts if they are trying to keep a legacy system active for some reason.

In addition, I have seen a message in Control Hub about the EOL units (MX300/700/800 and SX80). It says EOL products will be disconnected from all cloud services on June 1st, 2025, or sooner if critical security issues arise. I assume these EOL systems will stop working effective June 1st, 2025. We are also in the process of replacing the EOL units that we have, I don't think these units have much resale value.

There's a further document published for this too - see End of support for RoomOS devices.
This means that the older end-of-support devices will be removed from Webex on 1 June 2025, so will no longer be able to be managed in Control Hub, or be registered directly to the Webex Cloud. They will still be able to be registered and work with a CUCM as a SIP endpoint, however on-going management and support of them will not be as simple as it is before that date, and replacing them with a current model is the best option.
So, back to the original poster - the worth of such an endpoint, even though it may be functional, is going to be minimal, and, as I mentioned previously, possibly only has value for someone looking to keep other existing older environments running as parts or a spare.
