Dante integration in RoomKit Plus and Pro Devices

With the world heading towards IP based everything in the very near future, it would be prudent for Cisco to begin to look at making one of the standard Audio over IP formats available as a way to input audio into the most advanced endpoints. Dante of AES67 integration would mean a lot of users who are using the Sennheiser Teamconnect 2 or Shure MXA 910 beamforming mics with their high visibility integrations of RoomKit Plus and Pro rooms could skip having a secondary Audio DSP in line. It benefits Cisco as they could partner with these groups to make a certified solution, and integrators would be SO greatful. It would also make these devices massively scaleable, from Single MXA910 to massive production Dante flows can all be trunked into the RoomKit with no fear of noise or interference. Thoughts?

People have discussed this before, not only for Dante or AES67, but also for other protocols such as AVB or Milan.  These could then start to include Video as well as Audio.

Your best option to try to get this capability added to the endpoint range is to contact your local Cisco Account Manager and ask them to raise a Feature Request with the BU (or add your use case to any existing request).

We can close this thread as the latest RoomOS indeed offers AES67 support for many collab devices. You can tick this one off your wish list.
