Do we need an extra amplifier for the Cisco MX800?

Hi,

We are going to buy Cisco MX800 single screen VC for our new meeting room. The meeting room is 9.6m * 5.6m.  So, some questions here:

1. Do we need to put extra small loudspeakers on the ceiling?

2. Do we need to buy extra amplifier for the loudspeakers? If yes, what is the best type?

    Because I found there is one 200W amplifier inside the MX800 as default, but I am not sure whether the inside amplifier would work for the extra loudspeaker. If that amplifer would work with the loudspeakers, then we do not need buy one extra amplifier.

3. Whether MX800 could reduce the feedback between microphone and speaker.

Thanks Manish, I have read that document before.

The point is our meeting room is not so large, it is only 9.6m * 5.6m. So if you can confirm the default amplifer could work with on the output connection with extra speaker, then I do not need to buy an extra amplifer.

Based on what i see in the room specs for MX800 in the pdf your room specs are just slightly over what is documented in the guide so it should be okay with the default amplifiers. However, it is always good to get it verified via your local SE / Cisco Acct team before placing an order or going ahead with the deployment.

Hello Long - in my opinion you don't need another speaker. That room is not very big - I have an MX800 in a room that's larger than that with no external speakers and there is no issue, the MX800 amp/speakers are more than enough for a room that size.

In my opinion no, you will not need any external speakers.
