EX90 Doesnt Transmit Video

Hi Experts,


We are running into an issue.

We have scheduled an adhoc call on CTMS . The participants are 2 CTS Units ( CTS 3xxx) and 1 Ex 90 Unit. All of them registered to
UCM.

Issue:-
When we launch the CTMS call, and CTS units join the call first and then EX90 unit joins.
EX90 is able to recieve and transmit Video. 
However, when CTMS call is launched , and EX90 unit joins the call first and then CTS
units join the call. EX90 is recieving the video but not transmitting Video.

CTS Units are able to send/recieve video in both the cases absolutely fine.

We have also checked the same with different EX90 also , same happened with it. We also
tested this scenario on 4 other CTMS bridges also. Same result.

CTMS : 1.8
CUCM : 8.6.2.22900-9
Ex90 : TC 5.1.6
CTS  : 1.9.2

In Some cases, the issue is intermittent also. 

Is there any known bug for this issue?

Hi,

This is something that thorough needs to be investigated by TAC.

if you still have the problem and it's not resolve, go ahead and open a TAC case for your log files to be looked at and get to the bottom of the case.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I opened the TAC for this issue and found that this was the limitation of the CTMS running on 1.8 with the CTS Endpoints running 1.9.2 and EX90 running on TC 5.x.x.

TAC suggested to downgrade the Video Quality on CTMS to 720p , which would allow it to work on 720p and not 1080p ( By Design ).

The above solution was not feasbile for us.

So, we had to move further registering EX90 with VCS and using  TPS to achieve 1080p .
