Dear all
Is that nomral if you have a connection to a Jabber Video Client (MOVI SW 4.6) and then tha Jabber user has no Video camera connected or has the camera muted (Security reason), jabber user can see the video from EX90 but EX90 can not share the Presentation to the Jabber user ?
The Presenation Button are not visible.
Is this a Bug or normal ?
I think the EX90 means that we have only an Audio Call.
Any Ideas Input appreciated.
Best regards
Georg

Hi Georg,
I did a quick recreate and got same result.
The presentation buttons gets disappear as soon as the video on far end goes off.
It is just not happening with jabber, infact it happens with any other end point.

Hi Mukesh
Is that normal or is this a Bug?
I wouid it appreciated if is possible, because I think is legitimate to say no Video from one site.

I believe that this is a normal behavior because it is assuming that the far end is an audio only device and
does not support BFCP.

Hi Mukesh,
I believe that this is a normal behavior because it is assuming that the far end is an audio only device and
does not support BFCP.
You are losing something here. It does not work this way.
First, Note that Jabber can receive the video from EX90, so EX90 is NOT considering Jabber as audio only device, otherwise, Jabber wouldn't even be able to receive the main video from EX90.
Second, when you mute video in Jabber client, or when you disconnect your webcam during a conference, or even when you start the conference without any webcam, Jabber does negotiate all the media capabilities normally (including BFCP support), it does not negotiate a audio only call!
When the camera in Jabber is set to off or disconnected during the conference, Jabber just stops to send RTP video to the remote, Jabber doesn't even re-negotiate media capability. Then the remote treats Jabber as video/audio device. When Jabber starts a conference without webcam, it also negotiates all media capabilities without restriction.
Let me give you some examples:
Presentation working on Jabber with video muted
Presentation working on Jabber without any camera connected
I have made the tests above connecting Jabber to a MCU 8510, it was just to show the behavior of Jabber when there is no video input. Checking all the media negotiation between Jabber and MCU, I do see Jabber negotiating media normally with or without video input connected.
I have also made tests involving jabber and C40 (TC 6), I got the same behavior, presentation and video working fine even not having any video input in Jabber client.
I am using Jabber version 4.6.

Georg,
Answering your main question, this behavior is not normal.
Tell me something, when the users reportetd this problem, did you have the oportunity to test personally? Maybe users are sharing presentation incorrectly, it is always a possibility. The better way to have it clear is by testing it by yourself.
I am not putting away the possibility of being a problem with EX90, but unfortunately I don't have any one here to test. But I would suggest to do this:
Making these tests you can check if it is problem with touch interface or really a problem with EX90 itself.

Dear Paulo
I have made now some test with different secanrio
1. call from EX90 to jabber, mute Video on the Jabber Client
--> ViewPresentation Button visible but as soon press the button he goes away
2. If video enable again on jabber client, the viePresent Button is visible and you can send the presentation
3. Video on Jabber Client mute
--> with the comand "xcommand presentation start" is it possible to send the Presentation as soon have do this the Button "stop Presenation" is visible on the Touchpanel
4. Call from Porfile 65 /C60 with Touchpanel to jabber Client
--> no Problem button still exist and also possible to send a Presentation
All System have the SW Version TC6.1.2.eb6d163
So its seem to be a Problem only with EX90 (maybe also EX60 nothing to test)

Hi Georg,
If you are able to send presentation by using CLI command but not using touch panel, it seems to be some kind of bug. Before posting my suggestion above, I did a search to try to figure out some known limitation related to your issue, but I didn't find anything.
So I would suggest you to open a case with TAC support.
Aditionally, Cisco just released the beta version TC 6.2. Maybe you could try to use this version. You can get it via TAC support.

Hi Georg,
I would call it as bug as the issue does not happen on TC 5.1.7. , however before we need to call it as bug few testing need to be performed may be that is why the Tac case is pending
Thanks

I remarked that during the EFT of the version.
I think its even worse as its not only the presentation but also the PC selfview which goes down the drain.
So I still consider it a bug!
